Despite The Fact That 26 People Were Arrested, Medikal Joins The Toy Gun Mania

In Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, some young people started a toy gun movement, which award-winning artist Samuel Adu Frimpong, better known by his stage name Medikal, has joined. The rapper and another person can be seen playing with toy firearms inside his house in a video posted on the social media social network X.

This occurs just hours after authorities declared that 26 people had been arrested for indiscriminately brandishing and firing toy firearms in public. The accused will be arraigned in court and are currently cooperating with investigations.

In the meantime, as part of their investigation, the police have seized many toy firearms. This expanding habit has sparked concerns across the nation, and special police operations are underway to catch others implicated. The police warned the young person to stop doing it in a statement, pointing out that it is illegal under the Criminal Offenses Act.

We hereby warn young people against engaging in this behavior since it violates several laws, including Section 207 of the Criminal Offenses Act, 1960 (Act 29), which prohibits offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace. We want to reassure the public once more that the police will take all necessary steps to maintain the calm in our dear nation," the statement read.
