Earaches typically affect youngsters, but they can also affect adults. Earaches may be brought on by trauma, infection, ear irritation, or transferred pain. Pain in the ear is not related to an infection or injury. For instance, ear pain may be caused by jaw or tooth ache.

Infections in the ears, earaches and pain in the ears are frequently brought on by ear infections. The middle, inner, and outer ear are all susceptible to ear infections.
