Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Awards Certificates To Twenty-Two Former Kayayei Who Continue To Drive Buses


The NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has given certificates to 22 former head porters, or Kayayei, who have successfully finished their training and become certified bus drivers under the NEIP Kayayei Empowerment Program (KEP). Dr. Bawumia's dedication to uplifting underprivileged people and fostering economic development is demonstrated by this effort. In order to help Kayayei gain new skills and raise their socioeconomic standing, the NEIP Kayayei Empowerment Program seeks to train and assist them.


After undergoing extensive training, the 22 beneficiaries who were awarded their credentials have proven to be exceptionally committed and diligent. Now that they are certified bus drivers, they have the abilities and information required to seek higher-paying positions and raise their level of living.
