Following their 5-2 thumping of Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia, Barcelona players have been celebrating their first trophy of the season. Along with Raphinha, who scored twice, the scoresheet featured goals from Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Alejandro Balde. Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the squad's injured captain, flew out in time to attend the final and capture the championship, joining the team in Saudi Arabia.
Following a challenging few weeks off the field for the team because of the registration drama involving Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, Barcelona president Joan Laporta also joined in the festivities. Both players were beaming during Sunday's festivities and are now available to participate.
Although Flick and his team have already returned to Barcelona, they will take Monday off before starting training again in anticipation of Wednesday's Copa del Rey matchup at Montjuic against Real Betis.
